2. Loan Eligibility & Facility Requirements

  • Land & Property Requirement: Land can either be self-owned or secured via a long-term registered lease agreement (minimum 5 to 10 years duration).
  • Collateral-Free Financing: Under the CGTMSE Scheme and the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), MSME units can secure bank loans up to ₹2 Crore without needing independent property collateral (the government acts as the loan guarantor).
  • Key Government Subsidies:
    • PMFME Scheme: Offers a 35% capital subsidy (up to ₹10 Lakhs) for micro food processing and packaging units.
    • Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF): Provides a 3% interest rate subvention on loans for cold storage and warehouse infrastructure.
    • UP Food Processing Policy: Offers up to a 35% capital subsidy for solar-powered cold storages and value-addition units.

3. Application Steps to Obtain the Loan

  1. Business Registration: Register the enterprise as a Proprietorship, Partnership, or Pvt Ltd, and obtain an Udyam MSME Registration.
  2. Detailed Project Report (DPR): Prepare a formal project report covering land details, machine quotes, projected revenue, and operational layout.
  3. Government Portal Application: Apply via the PMFME Portal for processing/packaging grants or the JanSamarth Portal (AIF) for solar cold storage hubs.
  4. Bank Sanction: Upon land/lease verification and financial appraisal, banks sanction 85% to 90% of the project cost as a loan.
